In the first of many pilot events to take place outdoors this summer, James Vincent McMorrow will perform to 500 people in Dublin City Centre
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, 3 June for the first live gig of the summer, and it is none other than iconic singer-songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow.
The concert takes place on Thursday, 10 June at 7pm. The gig comes before the launch of his forthcoming album, Grapefruit Season, on 16 July.
Presented by the National Concert Hall, this will be the first live concert with audiences since the start of the pandemic, with James performing alongside special guest Sorcha Richardson to 500 people at Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday. 3 June at 10am at nch.ie.
Minister for The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin believes this marks a new dawn for the wider arts and culture industry.
“After a long 15 months of dark stages, I am delighted a return to live music is finally here. These pilot shows are an important first milestone on the way back to the safe and full recovery of live events, as we emerge from what has been a devastating crisis for this sector,” Minister Martin says.
“Audiences, artists and arts workers are eager to reconnect through the shared experience of music and I am grateful to organisers at the National Concert Hall, the OPW, Dublin City Council, and of course James Vincent McMorrow and Sorcha Richardson for creating what promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.”
