Make a date in your diary for this feature-length documentary all about Ireland’s greatest rock star
This week director Emer Reynolds announced the release date for the eagerly-awaited Phil Lynott documentary, Songs For While I’m Away.
Hitting cinemas nationwide on 23 October, the film focuses on the life and music of the Thin Lizzy frontman.
It looks at how his formative years as a young black boy in working class 1950s Dublin influenced him, and details his iconic music career.
Much of the film is told through the words of Phil himself, focusing on his songwriting.
Always a dreamer and a known wildman, the film gets to the heart of what made him tick, and helps fans get to know him beyond the man they saw on stage.
SO looking forward bring our film about the incomparable Philip Lynott to cinemas this Autumn!
