The documentary is to be released next year

Rosanna Davison revealed that she and friend Síle Seoige are working on a documentary together.

The news comes just a few short weeks after Rosanna appeared on Síle’s podcast, Ready to be Real, talking about her journey to motherhood.

It is thought that the documentary will cover fertility issues, as it is a topic both women have opened up about.

Rosanna has spoken publicly about her difficult journey to becoming a mother. She revealed she had mutiple miscarriages over several years, before she and her husband Wes Quirke decided to use a gestational surrogate to carry their first child, Sophia, last November.

Then in July she and Wes revealed that after a total of 14 miscarriages, a miracle had happened, and Rosanna was pregnant with twin boys, due in November.

We have some news! @Wesquirke and I are beyond overjoyed to announce that we’re expecting identical twin boys this November 💙💙 We’re absolutely thrilled to complete our family and for our daughter Sophia to have two siblings so close in age to her. As I’ve spoken openly about this year, we struggled with fourteen pregnancy losses over the past few years and a challenging fertility journey before finally welcoming Sophia last November by gestational surrogate. I was told that I would probably never be able to carry my own baby due to a suspected immune system dysfunction, which numerous different medical treatments failed to rectify. So for this to just happen naturally, and to have twins too by complete chance, is an absolute dream come true for us ❤️ My doctor can’t offer a medical explanation for why I have been able to sustain this pregnancy and it will probably always remain one of life’s mysteries. However, we found out I was pregnant after the first month of lockdown when I was far more physically relaxed than I’ve been in years and enjoying the slow pace of family life at home, despite the anxiety and sadness in the outside world. So perhaps that time out from the stress of busy everyday life made all the difference. We still can’t quite believe it ourselves and it’s taken a long time to properly process it and feel ready to share the news. As if 2020 hasn’t already been packed with enough surprises! 😅 Fertility miracles may take some time, but they really can happen in the most unexpected and magical ways 💫 As always, sending so much love to those of you still on your baby journey. Never give up hope 🕊 #twinpregnancy #novemberbabies #month5 #halfwaythere #fertilityawareness

Síle also had difficulty with pregnancies, experiencing two miscarriages following the birth of her son Cathal in August 2017.

The pair chatted about their experiences on Sheila’s podcast Ready to be Real in July this year, which you can listen to here.

My conversation with the amazing @rosanna_davison is now live on all podcast platforms. Rosanna is incredibly strong, honest and full of compassion and her struggles are a reminder to all of us, that we never really know what’s going on in other people’s lives. I asked her to be a guest on the podcast many months ago but due to Covid 19 we pressed pause on the recording until the time felt right. She lives in Dublin with her husband Wes Quirke, and their baby daughter Sophia. And in this conversation, she shares her journey to motherhood; from multiple miscarriages, years of tests, treatments and heartache to their decision to try surrogacy and the happiest moment of her life, when her baby girl was finally in her arms. Rosanna is a gorgeous person and I wish her and her family all the love in the world ❤ Podcast recorded in @collaborative.studios #Podcast #ReadyToBeReal #Conversation #Surrogacy #DreamsCanComeTrue
