It can be all too easy to rely on the old faithfuls, the comfy well-worn bras you’ve had so long you can’t remember buying. Refresh your lingerie drawer with these supportive and pretty pieces

The best outfits have a strong foundation and that means investing in great bras. Here are a few we love, from the supportive to the unapologetically pretty.

1. The one that will look great on every shape…

Perhaps not for everyday wear but a must for your lingerie drawer is a bodysuit. They flatter any figure and allow you to cover up while still looking great. This lace and mesh one from H&M has adjustable shoulder straps and an elasticated seam under the bust and at the waist, making it a really comfortable option.

Lace body, H&M | €22.99

2. The one that feels like a comfy, supportive hug…

Bralet, Marks & Spencer | €13

Marks & Spencer has seen sales of bralets increase by a whopping 200% over the last year. This bralet isn’t just for smaller busts, as Marks & Spencer have developed new construction techniques to offer more support for busts right up to a GG cup. Not only is this style of non-wired bra super comfortable, it gives a natural silhouette and is ideal for layering.

3. The one every runner needs…

Sports bra, Marks and Spencer €27

There’s so much gorgeous gym gear about at the moment. However it’s crucial to find a sports bra that not only looks good, but provides maximum support as well. The Extra High Impact Sports Bra is one of Marks & Spencer’s most innovative bras, with Japanese technology and three years of extensive testing and research going into the design. Breasts can move up to seven centimetres in any direction when running so scientists have pinpointed where the best support in the sports bra should be. Not only that, the bra is made from moisture wicking material for your comfort and feels very light.

4. The one with great support…

The gorgeous Josie bra has maximum side support and an underwire making it an ideal choice to prevent shoulder and neck pain while still looking pretty.

5. The one with a little oomph…

Lace push up bra, H&M | €14.99

This bra is a great staple to have in your wardrobe. It comes in a classic shape with moulded, padded cups to give the impression of a larger bust and boosts cleavage.

6. The one for duvet days…

Bralette, Next | €20

The Daisy non-wired bralette is comfy and pretty for days you don’t feel like getting dressed but still want to look and feel good.

7. The one that makes you feel feminine…

Bra, Next | €15.50

The Emily balcony bra comes in a lovely floral print in pale pink satin. Perfect for those days when only pink will do!
