Raise funds for the butterfly skin charity Debra Ireland and explore the beautiful Dingle Peninsula with the Kerry Challenge.
From 18-20 May, trek through 75km of the stunning Kerry scenery daily before enjoying the evening entertainment lively Dingle has to offer.
It’s a fun-filled few days with great atmosphere, with people coming together to raise money for the worthy cause. The skin condition epidermyolysis bullosa (EB) is a rare and painful genetic condition that causes the skin inside and out to blister and wound at the slightest touch.
Debra Ireland is inviting hiking fans to grab their best friends and their walking boots for a challenging, inspirational and craic-filled few days, Debra Ireland’s Head of Fundraising Judith Gilsenan says.
"This is a brilliant weekend for meeting new people and bringing people together, work colleagues, couples, singles and seniors are all welcome," she says.
“It is an event that has real heart and soul and it is ideal for friends or groups of colleagues to really do something different for a weekend.”
It costs €300 per person to take part, which includes two night’s accommodation in the four star Dingle Skelligs Hotel, all meals and snacks, transport to and from the route each day, on-site physiotherapy and a celebratory dinner and prize-giving.
Participants must also raise a further €350 donation for the charity, which provides support services for those living with butterfly skin.
