Take in the breathtaking views of Hook Lighthouse at sunset with a brand new tour experience. The guided tour will be followed by local food served with Irish mead, prosecco or tea and coffee in the all glass lighthouse watchroom, taking in the panoramic views of Hook Peninsula. Hook is the world’s oldest intact working lighthouse and has a fascinating history. The sunset tour is a spectacular new way for visitors to experience this iconic Wexford landmark, which has roots back to the 5th century when a monk first established a beacon at the site. The knight William Marshall built the tower 800 years ago, while a former lightkeeper describes his role at the lighthouse in audiovisual displays that bring the tour to life. The tour runs at 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of September 2017, and there needs to be at least 12 people and a maximum of 24 for the tour to run. Pre-book by emailing Cathy on firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 051397055.
