We’re delighted to be bringing our Irish Made Village to Gifted this year. As passionate supporters of Irish craft and design, we’re bringing six fantastic Irish companies to the RDS from December 5th to 9th. Stop by the Irish Made Village to discover beautiful gifts, and learn all about why buying Irish goes so much further than you know. Have a loved one who’s a fan of Irish Country Magazine? We’ll also have amazing subscription offers across the five days with gorgeous gifts when you sign up to the magazine.
Meet the Makers
The Bearded Candle Makers
Joining us from Belfast are the Bearded Candle Makers. Created by Michael Morris, these beautiful hand-poured candles capture the imagination. Michael’s passion lies in creating intriguing scents based on stories and memories, and carefully making them into perfectly burning candles. Candles such as A Real Turf Fire and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party contain no nasties and are made with sustainably produced soy wax.
The Burren Perfumery
We’re thrilled to have the Overall Winner of the Irish Made Awards 2018 joining us in the Irish Made Hub. Run by Sadie Chowen and her husband Ralph, The Burren Perfumery makes perfumes, organic cosmetics, cold-process soaps, candles and essential oils at their beautiful premises in the Burren, County Clare. With each scent inspired by the landscape, this is an opportunity to take home a little piece of Ireland.
Brothers Gary an Alan McCormack make beautiful leather goods in their workshop in Kilcullen, Co Kildare. Using traditional cobbling methods with modern laser technology, they specialise in personalisation and customisation, and so a gift from CarveOn is truly bespoke. The collection includes wallets, stationery, tech accessories, handbags and more.
Jill & Gill
Known for their limited edition works of art, Jill Deering and Gillian Henderson are the dynamic duo behind Jill & Gill. Whether it be their eye-catching print collections or their apparel line highlighting aspirational women, their designs are one-of-a-kind and often limited edition. Expect to discover designs that are bold, timeless and ahead of the curve.
Oxmantown Skincare is a stunning range of natural skincare, handmade by Amy Cahill in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. All products are made in small batches using high quality, natural, organic and active, botanical ingredients to ensure the freshest product without an overload of nasty chemicals. This is skincare inspired by nature.
Founded by former Irish radio DJ Jenny Huston, Edge Only is luxury jewellery with an edge. Jenny believes in ethical luxury and quality craftsmanship so all of Edge Only’s production is done in Ireland with care, ensuring beautifully finished designs that you can feel great about in every respect.
